Sphalerite is a mineral in the iron impurities family. Mostly found with pyrite and Galena as well. This mineral has a hardness of 3.5-4 on the Mhors scale. This mineral grows in an Isometric pattern.

This particular piece has quartz crystals and a small piece of Galena growing out of it as well.
