Labradorite is a member in the feldspar mineral family which has the ability to reflect incoming light to make a variety of colors. This affect is called schiller or labradorescence and can range from the common yellow/greens to orange, to the rarer blues and purples, which this piece possesses. Originally named for Labrador in Canada, the best Labradorite now comes out of Madagascar.
