Tourmaline is a wildly popular mineral and gemstone the world over. Like Quartz, Tourmaline comes in a great many colors and varieties, and these different varieties all have names associated with them, but they are all tourmaline. Some of these names are Elbaite (Green, Pink), Schorl (Black), Dravite (Black+Brown), Indicolite (Blue), Rubelite (Pink+Red) and Achroite (Clear).
This piece comes from Erongo Mountain Namibia. It has a very light almost matte smoky quartz point growing out of the side as well. Very unique.
