Selenite gets its name from the Greeks meaning "The Moon". Selenite that comes from Colorado can come in various colors: green, brown, gray, white, reddish-brown, and yellow. This specimen is considered to be a fishtail, which is a rare form due to the way the selenite grew in layers. This one is a greenish gray with a shape of a pine tree.
